Down to Earth Farmer's Market is Saturday from 830am - 1pm at Market Square.   Rhubarb season is in full effect in the farmers' market, so pull out your pie, coffee cake and jam recipes.  Neversink Spirits returns to the market with their NY gin, whiskey and fruit brandies. R&G Produce is also back at the market this week with their wide range of vegetables   Don't forget your recycled bags!!

Vote for Chamber member Gullotta House in the W estchester Toyota/Scion Give Back Program.  Visit their Facebook page to cast your vote.  Gullotta House is a nonprofit which aides Westchester residents facing a hardship. Income is not a factor. What's the severity of the hardship now, today. They organize community events and provide scholarships. Gullotta House is all volunteers, no salaries are paid. To learn more about Gullotta House visit their website.

Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) will kick off its 2017 Play Reading Series with The Maltese Babka by award-winning playwright C.J. Ehrlich.  Directed by Westchester veteran director Christopher Arena, this original full-length play will keep the audience guessing at every turn. The production runs May 20th at 8 pm through Sunday, May 21st at 3 pm at WCT's new home, at 23 Water Street, Ossining, NY.  The Sunday, May 21 performance will be followed by a talk-back with the playwright, director and actors.  The rehearsed reading has been developed and dramaturged through WCT's ongoing workshop process which enables member actors and writers to bring new pieces to life.  Limited seating; advance purchase is strongly suggested. Tickets are available individually to each production or through subscription to the 2017 series.  All tickets are general admission with discounts available for WCT members, seniors, students and groups of 5+.  Purchase tickets online at  www.wctheater.org

Ossining Arts Council (OAC) presents, "Where Do You Sit in Life?"  on Sunday, May 21st  2pm - 330pm at OAC Steamer Firehouse (117 Main Street, 2nd Fl - Ossining ). Rochelle Udell will be featured artist for this FUN program!    Rochelle is a fine artist and speaker based in Ossining. After a successful career in the publishing, beauty and fashion industries, she now creates artwork focusing on subjects that will provoke and inspire the viewer to reflect on the questions and narratives in their lives. Rochelle will be delivering a fascinating presentation-followed by a Q&A-that will undoubtedly lead to some interesting questions-answers-and stories-all about chairs! $5 donation is suggest.  More information please visit www.ossiningartscouncil.org

" Sunset, Supper and Support ," a benefit for the tuition assistance program of the  Ossining Children's Center , Sunday, June 4th , 6:00 - 8:30 pm, at 3 Westerly Bar and Grill, Ossining's new riverfront restaurant.  Please join them for a light supper prepared by James Beard Award Winning Chef Hok Chin. Enjoy an amazing view of the Hudson and Music by Chamber member Mike and Miriam Risko. All proceeds of the event support child care tuition assistance for low and moderate income families. The 14 th  Annual Phelps Golf Classic will be held Monday, June 5th at Sleepy Hollow Country Club, one of the most picturesque country clubs in America. This year's co-chairs are Bill and Ellen Melvin of Scarborough and Dr. John and Allison Robbins of Sleepy Hollow. Last year's Classic netted over $60,000, with 90 golfers.   The cost per golfer is $800, which includes green fees and cart, buffet lunch, refreshments, cocktail and buffet reception, gifts and prizes. Proceeds from the event will be dedicated to facility improvements at Phelps Hospital to enhance patient comfort and care.   Registration begins at 11:00 am, followed by lunch, with a shotgun golf start at 12:30 pm. Cocktail reception and buffet open at 5:30 pm.  Tickets can be purchased online

Join the  5K Run/Walk of the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail in support of our Clear View School Sunday, May 21@7:45am at Joseph Caputo Communty Center (Ossining).  All proceeds benefit the children and families of the Clear View School, a day program for children and youth ages pre-K through 21 serving the communities of NYC, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Rockland and Orange Counties. It is Clear View's mission to restore hope and to give children and families challenged by mental illness a special environment in which to grow, learn, and work through their challenges.  For more information click here to download the flyer.
