The response to The Stray Birds' live shows has matched the critical acclaim of their 2016 Yep Roc Records release, Magic Fire. Now performing as a four-piece band, their spring touring was highlighted by festival appearances at MerleFest, Albino Skunk Music Festival and shows at the Orange Peel in Asheville, Music City Roots in Nashville and NPR's Mountain Stage.

The band is planning on heavy summer touring after its busy spring. It will play at Ossipee Valley Music Festival in Maine, Fayetteville Roots Festival in Arkansas and many other festivals. The Stray Birds will return to venues where they have enjoyed success in the past, such as The Tractor Tavern in Seattle and Freight & Salvage in Berkeley. Responding to high demand for their shows, they will play other venues for the first time this summer, including The Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River, MA and Infinity Hall in Norfolk, CT. The band will spend November on a tour of the U.K.

The Stray Birds are already planning their next recording project, which will be their third on Yep Roc Records. The band is writing a new album this summer, for release in 2018. Stay tuned!
