In anticipation of National Safety Month in June, community members are invited to engage with local experts and service providers who will share information about current issues, initiatives, and challenges to making our community safer.
As part of a discussion series to promote civic dialogue and participation, CRRL has partnered with Spotsylvania County's
Neighborhood Watch Program and the League of Women Voters of the Fredericksburg Regional Area to bring together experts, agencies, organizations, and concerned area residents. Speakers will give insights into our region's toughest challenges, share how the community collaborates to offer prevention and intervention, and discuss how using a myriad of approaches keeps our region safer.
While many community organizations and agencies promote public safety, each resident has a role and responsibility, too. For this reason, CRRL welcomes everyone to participate in this dialogue. Discussions are richer when we bring together our diverse views, experiences, and expertise. Civic deliberation is also about respectfully listening, gaining a deeper understanding, and raising awareness. Come to listen, learn, and share.
