The Rochester Opera House presents "Kacie Grenon Benefit Concert"
The Rochester Opera House and The Governor's Inn will be hosting a special concert on April 7th featuring Kacie Grenon and 'Last Reach' to benefit the new Rochester Performance & Arts Center in downtown Rochester. All proceeds from the concert will directly support the upcoming Rochester Performance & Arts Center, located at 32 North Main Street, slated to open in the early summer of 2017, with construction already underway. The benefit concert will take place at The Governor's Inn on Friday, April 7th from 8-9pm with Last Reach. Energize 360
April 8th
Energize 360's aim is to aid residential and business customers take control of their energy future by lowering energy use, driving down energy costs and transitioning to clean energy. The launch program will be on Saturday, April 8th at the Dover City Hall auditorium from 12:30-4:30 PM. Every participant will get a free site visit, a Home Heating Index score, and a comprehensive analysis of their energy usage specific to their home. Energize 360 offers energy audits, weatherization, solar electric system installations, and heat pump installations, as well as help in qualifying for all available rebates and incentives. Canoeing Canada's Arctic by Bill Ulinski
Tue. April 11, 2017 starting at 6:30pm in the Library Lecture Hall
This is Bill's second presentation of a more northerly and faster flowing river. The party of 10, in five canoes, paddled from northern NWT into Nunavut along the Thelon Sanctuary. The trip covered 180 miles with over 150 rapids in a region seldom visited by humans, an area home to a large concentration of tundra wolves, fox and grizzly bears. The Nubian Gents and Feminine Fire

This group of young men and women have traveled all over the world, singing and dancing in praise and worship of God. Open to public, the Gents/Fire will offer a youth dance and praise workshop on Saturday, May 6th from 10-11:30am at St. John's. That evening, a concert will be held at 7pm at St. John's as well. There is no charge to attend; however, a free will offering will be taken during the concert. All donations will be given to the Nubian Gents and Feminine Fire to help them continue their ministry. Learn to take care of yourself, and those you love, with enrichment classes at DALC. "Introduction to Falun Gong" is an introductory class to this ancient, traditional Chinese practice of "self-cultivation"- a way to improve mental and physical wellness through meditation and five easy-to-learn exercises; Wednesday, April 12, 6:30-8:30pm. Essential oils can be tremendous support for the garden and the gardener! Learn what oils are the must haves for the spring and summer months in "Gardening with Essential Oils". Make your own Gardener Kit to include bug repellent, bit and sting blend, and gardener's hand scrub; Wednesday, April 12, 6:30-8:30pm. Learn a lifesaving skill in "CPR/AED Certification", which teaches adult, child and infant CPR, how to use an AED and what to do if someone is choking.
