Storm Season is Here!
With the uncertainty of North Texas weather in the spring, I want to be clear about our approach to emergency weather procedures on campus. We have designated weather safe rooms on the interior of the campus. In the event there is a tornado warning, students and staff will take shelter in their designated rooms. We will monitor weather radars to ensure we are aware of how close severe weather is to Lovejoy Elementary. In the event there is a tornado in the immediate area, we will not release students in order to ensure their safety. If you arrive on campus prior to this particular time, we will ask that you join your child in their severe weather location. Once it has been determined that a tornado is in the immediate area, ALL staff (especially front office staff) will take shelter and will not be available to let visitors in through the front door. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Craft.

NEW! Senior Project - Children's Miracle Network
Ashton Franquiz, a Junior at Lovejoy High School, will be competing in the Miss Texas Outstanding Teen pageant. She is the reigning Miss Hunt County's Outstanding Teen 2017.  Ashton is a philanthropist at heart and feels blessed to be raised in North Dallas and in the Lovejoy District. She is part of the Majestics leadership team, choir, theatre program, and NHS. She dances outside of school and finds time to give back through the National Charity League. Ashton feels "To much is given, much is required." Ashton believes we all can make a difference, even if it is 1 hour serving somewhere.  Some are called to serve and some are called to give, but by doing something, we can all make a difference.
Over the next several weeks, Ashton is raising money for the Children's Miracle Network. Would you help her in this campaign?  "Your spare change can make a change."  Containers to collect change will be located at each campus.
