Healthy, Fresh Food Diner Anna's House to Open in Westland's Shop and Dine District

Westland, MI - The City of Westland is welcoming a new premier destination restaurant, Anna's House.  Anna's House is a successful restaurant with locations on the West side of Michigan, including Kalamazoo and Holland and Westland will be its first Metro-Detroit location. 

The restaurant will be renovating the 5,600 square foot building which was the former Max and Erma's, located at  6601 N. Newburgh Rd. and closed in January 2016. 

Anna's House is  a retro diner style restaurant that will specialize in providing all natural, fresh, unique dishes and has a passion for meeting the dietary preferences of the community.  They off gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian options to accommodate all lifestyles.  The also  offer all-natural, chemical free meats and provide house-made items that are made fresh everyday.  

"I am proud of the emerging food scene here in Westland with over 100 restaurants now," commented Mayor Wild.  "Over the past year we have welcomed new entries in the BBQ, Thai, Mexican, Fried Chicken and Sushi classes and Anna's House will be an excellent addition to Westland's Shop and Dine District.

The City is served by two public school districts; Wayne-Westland Community Schools serving 12,000 youth was recently named one of the Best School in Michigan by WXYZ-TV and is the proud recipient of 14 Golden Apple and two Michigan Blue Ribbon Exemplary School Awards.  Livonia Public Schools, educating nearly 15,000 students, is proud of their MEAP/MME scores that exceed state averages and the District has also earned Golden Apple and Michigan Blue Ribbon Exemplary School Awards.
