Fired Up, Ready To Go!
Pastor Ulysses Stephen King, Jr., Lady Tiffany E. Grant King, and the Memorial Tabernacle Family welcome you to our worship services.  We invite you to become a part of a growing ministry that is "reaching to teach, teaching to change" one person and one block at a time.   We pray you will enjoy the service and worship again with us.

Our Mission...
The Memorial Tabernacle Church has come together by the Holy Spirit for the specific purpose of preaching and teaching the word of God, (the Bible), and about Jesus Christ, God's son, and to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the North Oakland Community and its environs; to bring healing to the brokenhearted and deliverance to the oppressed.
Notes On Sunday's Sermon
"STANDING IN THE STORM" ( Matthew 7:24-27
by OUR SENIOR ELDER, REV. CALVIN L. KING, SR.

Elder King delivered a powerful message of hope, faith, and encouragement. Storms happen! He shared three principles we should all take to heart.

Principle One: Storms will come in our lives but it doesn't mean that God is punishing us. Trouble comes! Hard times come! Grief comes. Disappointment comes. Why? Because storms happen. Life happens. Stuff happens. And nobody gets to bypass the storms. We all have different kinds of storms at different times in our lives.

Regardless of whether you've been naughty or nice, storms will come in our lives. We often ask the Lord, "Why me? Why, Lord? Why did this storm have to come? Couldn't you have stopped it?" Or, as the disciples asked, "Lord, don't you care that we are perishing?" Yes, the Lord cares. He's right there in the boat with us teaching us how to make it through the storm. He will not leave or forsake us.

Principle Two: If you are a doer of the Word the house will not fall when the storm comes. Storms come to tests our faith and reveals our character. However, those who endure and go through their test are those who built their hopes on Christ, the Solid Rock. They are not merely hearers but doers. "Doing" is a faith word.

Principle Three: During the storm don't make the mistake of deciding to analyze the crisis too much before doing the work of the Lord. The choices you make today can affect who you are and what you do tomorrow. Your life choices today will affect how you respond when the storms come your way.
Because of Chri st,

Pastor Ulysses Stephen King, Jr.
