Dear Parents and Friends,

With Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut kicking off the start of this week, the hallways of our school burst with Israeli pride at both of our East Brunswick and Ocean campuses. Our preschool, elementary, and middle school students all experienced the importance of our homeland of Israel through many exciting activities and celebrations.  Thank you to all our staff members for the hard work and planning.  Thank you to the Parent Association, as well, for providing a delicious Israeli-style falafel lunch for our school!

The Rising Stars Youth Performing Arts program will be performing The Little Mermaid on Sunday May 7 and Sunday May 14, at 1 pm and 5 pm each day. YJS student Eli Fisch will be a member of the cast ensemble as a sailor, chef, and sea creature. Please call the JCC's Axelrod Theater office at (732) 531-9106 for tickets, and come to support Eli and the entire cast of kids!

6th Grade students will be taking their Standardized Tests next week, May 8-May 12. Arranging for make-up sessions for the many sections of the testing is quite difficult, so please try to make sure that your child is present on those days, and arrives on time. S/he should be well rested and should have had a good breakfast.

Shabbat Shalom and have a wonderful weekend,

Rabbi Elie Tuchman, Ed.D.
Head of School
