MAY IS THE PERFECT TIME TO EXPERIENCE THE GREAT OUTDOORS IN LONGMONT!

And, what better way to get around than with the bike-share program launched in late April. The program, owned and operated by Zagster, features ten stations located around town, that feature easy-to-ride cruiser bikes. To access the bikes, riders pay by the hour or join the program by signing up for monthly or annual memberships. Rides for members-who must be 18 or older-are free for the first hour, and then $3 per hour after that. The Zagster mobile app is available for iPhone or Android and can be accessed at zagster.com/longmont.

On the 2nd Friday of each month from 6-9 p.m., the Downtown Longmont Creative District features gallery openings, restaurant promotions and extended retail business hours and activities (inside and outside) taking place throughout the district. On May 12th, the theme is "Create It" and will feature music and artwork from students in the St. Vrain Valley School District. Come down to see what's new and join the excitement.

ArtWalk Longmont kicks off their 2017 season on Saturday, May 20 from 4-8 p.m. in the Downtown Longmont Creative District.  This free event celebrates art and culture and brings downtown businesses and local artists together to create a fun-filled evening for the entire family. The event will also host an art show, bake sale and free parking.

Admission is just $5/person, and children under 12 are free. Admissions and café concession sales earned at the show directly support the St. Vrain Historical Society, a local nonprofit whose mission is to preserve the heritage and history of Longmont and the surrounding St. Vrain Valley and to provide historic education for the community.
