The 5 Second Rule
This book offers a straightforward and easy way to make progress in many areas of life.  According to Mel Robbins, the one-liner definition of the 5 second rule is "If you have an impulse to act on a goal, you must physically move within 5 seconds or your brain will kill the idea."   Counting down 5-4-3-2-1 is like hitting the reset button! This idea can apply to everyday situations such as not hitting the snooze on your alarm clock, sending an email to a prospective employer or date or getting up the nerve to meet someone you see across the room.  And it even has numbers!!!
