"A VERY IMPORTANT DAY" BY THE FOURTH GRADE
The Fourth Grade culminated their extended unit on learning about  immigration  with a fantastic performance titled 'A Very Important Day', based on the novel of the same name that the students read, authored by Maggie Rugg Herold. Each student played their role beautifully. The girls also collaborated on researching and preparing gorgeous poster portfolios in a "gallery of countries" that was showcased in the halls of the school. The teachers along with their assistants facilitated a wonderful unit that the girls enjoyed thoroughly. They concluded the unit by making beaded American Flags and each girl received a DVD copy of their performance.

FIFTH GRADE CHOIR PERFORMANCES

Mrs. Elena Tal led the girls of the Fifth Grade in three lovely choirs on March 19 th. What a treat for the girls that Mrs. Drabkin our primary music teacher who is out on medical leave this year, joined the girls to perform a wonderful rendition of V'lirushalayim. This year's music program has been successful in teaching the girls how to use their voices as instruments of music.
FOURTH GRADE PESACH PREPARATIONS

Fourth Grade homeroom classes used the final days of Pesach preparations to review their learning by dividing into 'teams' by class, and prepare a cheer, poster, and costume related to their theme. All had a fun time!

DAYEINU PERFORMED BY THIRD GRADE STUDENTS
Many students had the opportunity to help everyone in school get into the spirit of Yom Tov, as some students brought their musical talents to the stage during lunchtime. Enjoy this performance and rendition of Dayeinu by our own third graders: Tikva Shoub and Bryna Esther Weiner!

SPRING FLOWERS
After reading The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Mrs. Flamm and Miss Snider welcomed in spring by creating their own flowerpot as each Fifth Grade student planted a flower in her own pot. We look forward to seeing the development of our own not so 'Secret Garden'!
GRAMMAR PERFORMANCE

Miss Vim's reading group worked hard learning all about various grammar lessons using songs and bringing these abstract concepts to life. They created a nice performance on these topics. Enjoy this quick medley about the use of verbs!

THIRD GRADE PRACTICES THEIR CURSIVE SKILLS

The Third Grade students are becoming great advocates for themselves while improving their skill of cursive writing. They each wrote a letter to a company requesting samples and many received some fun treats from these companies in response. Enjoy the return letter we received from the "Just Born" company, which shows how effective and respectful our girls were in carrying out this assignment.
