FREE Sibshop May 5 and FREE Sibling program for parents on May 4th



Dear Families,
 
Contact Doreen Cummings, 617-799-6739  to participate in the New England Wide Sibling Support Conference on May 4/5 Thursday and Friday at the JCC in Newton, MA. They are seeking SIBLINGS,to participate in a Sibshop on Friday May, 5th, from 10-2, as part of a demonstration workshop.   Parents who bring their typical siblings to participate can attend the full conference for FREE , and the kids have so much fun during this high energy, game playing event.  Parking and lunch is included. Here are a few details about the Sibshops Demo Workshop for typical Sibs:
 
The Demonstration Sibshop
An important part of most trainings conducted by the Sibling Support Project is a Demonstration Sibshop. The Demonstration Sibshop is a "hands-on" experience for as many as twenty 7-to-13 year old brothers and sisters and trainees. This lively workshop will introduce siblings and trainees to the activities, camaraderie, shared experiences, and good times that are a part of a successfully run Sibshop. This Demonstration Sibshop is intended for 10-20 typically developing sibs of kids with special developmental,
health, or mental health concerns. 

I have been a Sibshop facilitator for many years and the demonstration Sibshop is a critical part of the process. And you get a free Sibshop! I personally highly recommend it!
