These brief "classifieds" are intended to keep the members of the Diocese abreast of programs and activities in our parishes, share position openings throughout the Diocese, and to let others know if we have excess good/items they might be able to use. As in many "Classified Ads", articles should not exceed 150 words in length (total, and no graphics) and may be submitted to J.D. Lafrance ( [email protected] ) no later than Wednesday 10 a.m. each week for distribution via e-mail to the Diocese later that day. Text should be in the body of an email or in an attached Word document. ONE-TIME EVENTS
Programs

The ladies of  Holy Apostles and the Mediator 's Episcopal Church Women will host its annual  Card Party Luncheon & Fashion Show , Saturday , May, 6, 2017 from 12 - 4 p.m . Join in all sorts of games (card games, board games, and party games!). Enjoy a fashion show and have lunch, all for the low cost of $15.00 per ticket.
Music

Sunday, April 30th, at Saint Paul's, Chestnut Hill at 5:00 p.m. Choral Evensong   sung by the Adult Choir. Organ prelude at 4:45 p.m. played by Joe Russell, Organ Scholar. Join us for the final Evensong of the choral season. Service music will be selected from the repertoire being prepared for the Choir's visit to Saint Paul's Cathedral, London, for a Choral Residency in July 2017. A reception in the Parish Hall follows the service, all are welcome. The freewill offering supports the music program at Saint Paul's, www.stpaulschestnuthill.org/music .

Forums/Discussion Groups

Trinity Episcopal Church , located at 6587 Upper York Road in Solebury Township, PA, will be hosting a " Resurrection" Forum in April under the auspices of its Christian Education Ministry.  Sunday, April 30, 11:00 a.m. T.J. McDowell was a poster boy for clean living: a life guard, camp counselor, and coach...with a hidden drug problem. Come and hear T.J. describe his descent into addiction, and the forces that helped bring him "home" again. T. J. is currently a counselor at the Caron Foundation. Food

St. Paul's Episcopal Church , 126 Black Rock Rd, Oaks, PA 19456, will hold a Spaghetti Dinner from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on April 29, 2017. Tickets are available at the door, and are $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. The meal includes spaghetti with homemade sauce and meatballs, salad, bread, beverage, and dessert. Take-out is available. We will also have a table where attendees can purchase handmade crafts.

Services

Holy Spirit, Harleysville will hold the monthly
T aize Service  of sung prayers, readings and silent meditation at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 . There will also be laying on of hands for healing available. Programs

Learn  "The 3 Jewels of Yoga"  Every Sunday , at 4:30 p.m. in  St. Luke's Parish Hall , 1946 Welsh Rd. in Philadelphia, with yoga therapist Ram Phuyal. Just $10 per class, tailored for beginners. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat. Please do not eat for 4 hrs. prior to the beginning of the class. We'll also practice meditation and breathing exercises that, together with the movement, promote calmness, mindfulness and healing. Contact Number: 215-969-3645.
Music

Exciting local music is coming to Incarnation Holy Sacrament Episcopal Church . Starting in September, and running through the fall and winter months, IHS Drexel Hill will be hosting a Coffee House Open Mic and Concert Series. We'll bring in two local musicians to play longer sets and open the rest of the time up for members of the audience to share songs. Church Staff

Saint Matthew's Church seeks Parish Secretary/Receptionist, a personable, highly organized individual who enjoys teamwork and engagement with a variety of people and administrative tasks. Primary responsibilities include preparation of worship bulletins and the monthly newsletter, attendance reports, web site maintenance, parish communications, ministry scheduling, answering phone calls and greeting visitors to the office. The normally scheduled hours are 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the school year, and 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday during the Summer season. Musicians

The organist at  Saint John's, Concord (Glen Mills) has had to retire due to illness. We are looking for an  Interim Organist (s) for the Spring+, and will be searching for a new incumbent over the Summer. Organ & Keyboard skills needed to accompany choir or soloists in season. Volunteers

Volunteers needed at the Cathedral Food Pantry . Every Monday the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral Food Pantry distributes nourishing food to 150 households. We need help with food distribution on Mondays and help with receiving the food on alternate Wednesdays. Youth/Family Ministries

Director of Children's and Youth Ministries. Saint Peter's Episcopal Church, Glenside is seeking a creative and energetic individual to coordinate and oversee our children's and youth programs. In this twenty hour/week paid position, the Director of Children's and Youth Ministries will work with a group of volunteers, the Rector, and other parish staff to engage, equip, and empower our young people to deepen their relationship with God, inspiring them to live their lives in service of others. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and youth, engaging our young people and their parents in ministry within and outside of the parish.
