We Rocked The House on Saturday April 29th!
Aida and Tess Barack (Teri Fredrick & Matt Barack), Jordan Rinenberger (Amy), Jennifer, Tim, and Henry Livingston, Dave Sutton, and Cindy Wakeland braved the rain and cold to visit the Habitat for Humanity House on Saturday, April 29th. This was an interfaith day where children, youth and adults could come and help. Despite the rain, we were able to find some work to be apart of this awesome opportunity. Aida, Tess and Jordan found work by painting flowerpots for the new houses and the neighborhood, while Jordan nailed together and painted a birdhouse. Thanks to all who came out to help. Another day will be planned with hopefully some better weather.
NEWS AND UPDATES
Voting to Call Our Minister on May 7

There has been some confusion around the upcoming vote to call our minister on May 7.

As for all congregational meetings, we will require that a quorum be present to vote. That means at least 55 people need to attend, but we hope for MANY more. In order for Rev. Caplow to enthusiastically accept our call, she will need a YES vote from at least 95% of the voting members present at the meeting.

We have heard that some people have been disappointed to learn that they were not in fact voting members, or were not voting members by the deadline of April 17th before the vote. We are sorry that this happened, and can empathize. We understand that it would be nice to be part of this voting process, but do not be concerned that we will be short of people to participate. We will have no trouble gathering a quorum and carrying the process through to completion.

Solar Panel Ribbon Cutting
Join us  Monday 5/8 at 11am  for a ribbon cutting of the new 24 kW Solar array celebrating it's first month of operation. Speakers will include Mayor Diane Marlin, Senator Scott Bennett, and others. We will have a live boom-cam setup in addition to demonstrations of how to use the new building energy monitor. In their first month, the 81 panels have offset the equivalent of 41 trees and $275 in utility bills.
