Denson Presents AAI with Community College Proclamation of Appreciation 
During the AAI July board meeting,  DMACC President, Rob Denson (center) presented Tracey Gathman (left), AAI Chair and Kevin Drury (right), AAI Services Chair with a Community College Proclamation of Appreciation. 

This proclamation was signed by all 15 of Iowa's Community College presidents and states they "desire to express their unanimous appreciation for the support from AAI that assists community college students complete their education." 

The annually AAI Foundation hosts a Student Career Day in February and raises $15,000 to award to community college students in ag majors. Since inception of the program the AAI Foundation has given $45,000 to 45 community college students across Iowa.  

Thank you Rob, and all the presidents, for this recognition to AAI in the education community.
July AAI Golf Tournaments Exceed Expectations; Bill Northey Visits
AAI held two golf tournaments in July and what a success! We would like to thank all our members and golfers for joining us for two great days. Our July tournaments are annually co-hosted by AGP. 

During the golf tournament at Emerald Hills in Arnolds Park, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey visited with golfers and made a brief presentation to the group at the club house. Please see all our photos on  Facebook!

Mandela Fellows To Learn More About Iowa Entrepreneurship

Drake University has joined 35 other colleges and universities across the country and will be hosting a contingent of emerging African Leaders aged 25 to 35 years old. While in Iowa, the Mandela Washington Fellows will spend approximately six weeks studying business and entrepreneurship at leadership institutes.
