  Mark Your Calendars!

May is a wonderful month for celebrating! Graduations, Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day and Memorial Day to name a few of them. I have to admit though, I kind of feel like celebrating all the time now that the sun is out!

Quick reminder for all: Mother's Day is Sunday May 14th! Get out there and shop before all the good cards are gone ;)

I wish all of you a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! Enjoy your time celebrating with friends and family!

I would like to take this moment to thank everyone who has served or is currently serving our country. We appreciate you and are thankful for you everyday.

There are two kinds of wine shopping experiences. The first is casually browsing, reading labels and looking for something interesting. The second options is more what I am used to. Running down the wine aisle, shopping in a whirlwind.

When you are either shopping with three kids or are rushing home to make dinner for the family, casually shopping for wine is impossible. Lucky for me, Safeway has been doing a great job labeling wines that are either trending, are a top seller or have a high rating from Wine Spectator. It makes it easy for me to pick a new, good wine in a hurry. This system has not failed us yet. We do have a million baseball games a week for the boys right now, so maybe I'm not that picky ;)

Garage Makeovers
Garage Makeovers are a BIG trend in home renovation. I'm not saying it is the first thing that you should remodel. Kitchen, Bathrooms and Landscaping are always the most important starting points. They get you the most return on your investment.

However, having a garage with insulation, drywall and new floors can make it a more usable space.  Luckily, since we live in sunny California we don't necessarily have to park our cars in the garage. It can be turned into a playroom for kids or a hang out for teenagers.

Garage innovations are not cheap, it can cost thousands of dollars, but it can also bring a lot of organization to a cluttered space. Imagine putting all the kids sporting equipment, and gaming systems in the garage, along with a couch, an area rug and a TV. Sounds like plan to me!

Camping

We love to go camping during the summer. We take the RV and we just hit the road. There are so many beautiful campgrounds in Northern California that there are always new places to check out. Red Tricycle put together a great list of campgrounds to check out that are within an hours drive of San Francisco. We will definitely be checking out some of these this summer! Make sure to call for reservations!
