Bill Jacobson Receives 2017 Pollock-Krasner Grant

Robert Klein gallery is excited to announce that longtime gallery artist BILL JACOBSON has been awarded a grant for the development of new work by the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. In addition, Some Planes Press recently published his latest series figure, ground, which includes texts by Bill Arning, Robert Glück, and Barbara Stehle.

A forthcoming book, 945 Madison Avenue, will be released in May and is comprised of photographs made by Jacobson in the Whitney Museum's Breuer building following the Whitney's departure and prior to its tenancy by The Metropolitan Museum of Art.  The book concludes with a text by art historian David Deitcher, addressing the building's history as well as Jacobson's images.



Alex and Rebecca Norris Webb's Slant Rhymes Available in Europe and UK



What began as a playful idea for an exhibition of work by gallery artists ALEX and REBECCA NORRIS WEBB, has come to life as a monograph!  Slant Rhymes, the pairing of the two artists' photos, was exhibited back in 2014 at our South End gallery, and is now on view in Madrid at LA FÁBRICA through May 22

This beautiful publication from LA FÁBRICA  is available in Spain as a Spanish translation, Rimas de Reojo, with the English version available in the UK. The book will be available in the US this coming fall.

Join us this coming First Friday event on MAY 6 from 5:30 to 7:30PM at ROBERT KLEIN GALLERY @ ARS LIBRI for Looking at Looking, a special exhibition of select pieces from our booth at this past month's AIPAD PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW .

Culled from our extensive inventory of masterworks, this year's booth featured a concentration of exemplary portraiture by artists including IRVING PENN, DIANE ARBUS, AUGUST SANDER, W. EUGENE SMITH, BRASSAÏ, and many more. Through this exhibition, local photography collectors and enthusiasts will be able to view some of the works that made our booth a hit at this year's fair.

Our JESSE ALEXANDER exhibition at the LARZ ANDERSON AUTO MUSEUM, J esse Alexander: Photographs from the Golden Age of Motorsports, has been extended through the summer. We encourage anyone interested in this exhibition to take in Alexander's iconic photos, as well as one of the museum's scheduled summer lawn events, which provide museum goers an opportunity to see hundreds of privately owned classic vehicles.
