Monkeynastix is a fun, challenging non-competitive physical literacy program for children ages 1 to 12 years. Focusing on physical, cognitive and social skills, Monkeynastix develops children's strength
and flexibility, gross and fine motor skills, cardiovascular fitness, balance and co-ordination, spatial and body awareness, eye hand and eye foot co-ordination.
Monkeynastix is a dynamic program, continually adapting to keep up with the ever-changing demands placed on children in their fast-paced modern lifestyle. The classes
are broken down by age: 1-2 years, 2-3 years, 3-5 years and 6-8 years.
Each energy packed lesson for children 6 and under consists of a fun Monkeynastix warm up song, stretching positions, locomotion and main activity. At the end of each class children are rewarded with a Monkeynastix sticker
. Children that enrol in Monkeynastix receive a Monkeynastix gift upon registration, and a certificate upon completion of each term.
We are very proud to announce that we now offer MonkeySport for children ages 6 - 8 in many schools across the GTA! Having developed the foundations of fundamental movement skills, our 6-8-year-old members will begin refining their fundamental movement skills by introducing them to the fundamental sport skills (i.e.: running, jumping, catching, kicking, throwing, swinging, and hitting). Through our warm-up, children will learn the importance of warming up and preparing for exercise. After warm-up, children participate in a gross motor lesson, involving gross motor drills and activities. Each class will finish with team building or specific sport skill development.
We teach Monkeynastix in a fun, safe environment, raising children's levels of self confidence, while building skills necessary for learning. Our goal is to get children "sport ready" and physically literate so they stay active and healthy for life!!
