PIKE PET PALS OFFERS
Kennel Sponsorships
The Pike County Dog Pound sustained damage to several kennels during a storm in early March. Several outdoor kennels were damaged, and one was lost. Kennel roofs provide cover and shade to the dogs while at the pound but make can cause damage being in a flat area that often suffers wind damage. The sign that helped to give the pound greater visibility was also lost. Other options for these kennel roofs and sign that will be more stable but the costs are too high for the organization at this point.
To help to fund the cost of this kennel replacement, Pike Pet Pals will be offering kennel sponsorships. This is a one-time cost of $200 to sponsor a kennel for 2018. This is a tax-deductible donation and will include a sign on the kennel with the name of the donor. Kennels can be sponsored by businesses, individuals, families, community groups, or in memory. Those interested can mail their sponsorship or other donations to Pike Pet Pals PO Box 1239 Waverly, OH 45690 or contact PPP at pikepetpals@gmail.com or through the Facebook page.

Pike Pet Pals will be having their 10th Annual Grrreat Yard Sale on Saturday, April 7 from 8:00am until noon at the Bristol Village Activity Center in Waverly. Get a Front Row Seat to Democracy in Action
It takes over 35,000 people to ensure things run smoothly on Election Day and we're calling on you to enlist.
Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted's office is working with business leaders like you to get the word out about how anyone can become a poll worker, and in doing so, secure themselves a front seat to democracy in action.
In addition to serving their community, those who sign up will also be compensated for their time. They will earn around $100 for their service on Election Day and will also be paid for attending a training session. This could be used as extra spending money or even donated to a charity of their choosing.
It is important that elections in Ohio run smoothly and we hope you will consider making a day for democracy by partnering with Secretary Husted's office to get the word out to your employees and members about this important opportunity to serve the community, state and country.
For more information on making your business a partner, or to sign up to be a poll worker, visit
www.DayforDemocracy.com.
