Announcement for the 2018-19 school yearschool
Dear Suzuki families,

It is with great pleasure that we would like to announce that Suzuki cello teacher Sandy Kiefer will be stepping in to replace our dear cello faculty David Evenchick while he is on leave of absence starting in September. Ms. Kiefer is an amazing, fully trained and very experienced Suzuki cello teacher coming to us from Colorado. She is a vibrant and passionate musician, teacher and person who will no doubt be a great addition to our faculty next year.

Please see Ms. Kiefer's bio below

Ms. Kiefer earned a Masters in Music in Cello Performance from the New England Conservatory. She did her Suzuki Training with Rick Mooney, Nancy Hair and Pam Davenport.
She was a Suzuki Cello Teacher at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Mass and the Suzuki Cello teacher at the Hong Kong Suzuki Institute. Ms Kiefer is in demand as a clinician for Suzuki workshops and has taught at Suzuki Institutes in Oregon, Kansas, Vermont, Connecticut, Thailand and Indonesia. Additionally, she taught private cello students at the University of Rhode Island, Belmont Public Schools, Powers Music School, Noble and Greenough Private School, Arlington Public Schools for 30 years. Ms. Kiefer has also been a freelance cellist with Boston Ballet, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Springfield Symphony, Masterworks Chorale, Hartford Symphony. Portland Symphony, Viterbo Opera ( Italy) Manager and Founder Copley Chamber Players, perform about 200 engagements yearly.
Currently, Ms. is a member of the San Juan Symphony and loves teaching cello in the Durango, (CO) area.
We all look forward to working with Ms. Kiefer come September!

Warmly,
Paule
