MICROENTERPRISE GRANT  
Applications Now Available Online

The Town of Bethlehem was successful in its application to the New York State Office of Homes and Community Renewal for the renewal of the Microenterprise Grant Program.  The Town will receive $200,000 to provide grants to eligible Microenterprises, emerging, and existing businesses that want to locate in or expand within the Town of Bethlehem.  It is anticipated that a minimum of ten (10) businesses will be assisted with the awarded grant funds.  Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $35,000 and can be used to purchase inventory, machinery, equipment, furniture, fixtures and to meet working capital needs. 

Start-up or existing businesses interested in learning more about the Microenterprise Grant Program and the application process and missed the information session, may view the Microenterprise Grant Presentation.

Fahy, Town of Bethlehem, NY Town Supervisor John Clarkson, and the NY Bicycling Coalition at MHLC's annual Bike to Work Day This free event begins a light breakfast at 8am at the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy's office at 425 Kenwood Avenue. At 8:30, guests will hit the Rail Trail to ride. Bike to Work Day is open to anyone, whether or not they are able to bike to their place of work from the Rail Trail. The Bethlehem Bike Expo will be held Saturday May 20, from 10am-1pm on the Albany County Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail between Elsmere Avenue and Gardner Terrace. Brought to you by the Bethlehem Police Department and the Town of Bethlehem Parks & Recreation, the event will feature helmet fitting, bike inspections, and more. 

The Tuesday Delmar Farmers Market opens for the season on Tuesday, May 2, 2:30-6pm, at  Delmar First United Methodist Church , 428 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar. Stop by for the first of the season produce and farm fresh items. 

The Saturday Delmar Farmers Market opens for the season on Saturday, May 6, 9am-1pm at the Bethlehem Middle School on Kenwood Avenue.  Visit the website for details.
