Festival of Flowers, Education Excellence and youth programs!

Mother's Day weekend is a great time to join neighbors and celebrate the invaluable support that mothers provide to their families and to the community.
I'll be at these events celebrating education and teachers, helping raise funds for local youth and, of course, honoring the love and commitment of mothers everywhere!

WHAT: The EdFund's 29th Annual Celebration: Soaring to Excellence
WHO: The West Contra Costa Public Education Fund
WHEN: Friday, May 12, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
WHERE: De Anza High School Theater, 5000 Valley View Road, El Sobrante
ABOUT: An opportunity to celebrate education excellence, with student performances, presentation of teaching awards, and scholarship winners. Free event.
WHAT: Festival of Flowers, a Mother's Day Celebration
WHO: Urban Tilth
WHEN: Saturday, May 13, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
WHERE: North Richmond Farm, 323 Brookside Drive (off Fred Jackson Way)
ABOUT: A Free event for the whole family, celebrating moms, grandmothers and daughters. Will feature games, activities, performances, giveaways and delicious tastings.
WHAT: Cookies + Canvas Youth Fundraiser
WHO: City of Pinole
WHEN: Saturday, May 13, 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Pinole Youth Center, 635 Tennent Ave., Pinole
ABOUT: The City of Pinole's fundraiser for youth programs. Features cookies, interactive painting, auction and more!
