ALD ANNOUNCES RECIPIENTS OF THE SEIDNER STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Coral Springs, FL: The Academy of Laser Dentistry is pleased to announce the recipients of the
2017 Dr. Eugene Seidner Student Scholarship
. The award was presented during the Awards Ceremony at the ALD 2017 Annual Conference & Exhibition in Tucson, AZ to the following dental students:
- Elias Almaz, University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry
- Nicholas Montanaro, Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine
- Masaki Tsubokawa, Tokyo Medical and Dental University

The Dr. Eugene M. Seidner Student Scholarship is intended to promote the advancement of dental laser education and clinical research. The program encourages undergraduate and graduate dental students in the different dental disciplines to deepen their knowledge of the use of lasers in dentistry. It provides financial assistance enabling successful applicants to present their work at the Academy's annual conference and by doing so allows participation in the educational lectures and workshops aimed to advance the study of lasers and their correct and safe use in dentistry. As an international student from Tokyo, award recipient Dr. Tsubokawa states, "The prestigious Dr. Seidner Student Scholarship was the most honorable and the best way to become an ALD member for foreign students like me."
The application period is now open for the 2018 Seidner Student Scholarship program. Eligible students may complete the application process and submit an abstract through October 31, 2017
