Lt. Gov. Daniel J. McKee,  is the 69th lieutenant governor of Rhode Island. As a private citizen, small business owner and elected official, he has spent much of his life advocating for positive change in Rhode Island. His record is one of strong fiscal management, visionary education and health initiatives and accomplished economic development. Lt. Governor McKee will discuss his role as Chair of the Long Term Care Coordinating Council, which works to preserve the quality of life for seniors in Rhode Island. The Council also develops and coordinates policies, including the Alzheimer’s RI State Plan. Membership consists of various healthcare organizations throughout RI.

Dr. Patrick Mattingly , president of the Providence Village Board of Directors is a retired physician and health care administrator. Martha Wales , a member of the board, is a medical social worker. The Providence Village is a non-profit volunteer organization of neighbors helping neighbors. They will discuss providing support to help elderly remain safely in their homes and community. The Village offers social activities and events to engage members and combat loneliness and isolation.

Joy Loverde, (Chicago, IL) is a spokesperson for the mature- market industry and serves as a marketing and media consultant to members of the fast-growing eldercare industry. She has 30 years’ experience as a media spokesperson and is known for being a path carver and a visionary. She has written two books, Who Will Take Care of Me When I'm Old? and a best-seller, The Complete Eldercare Planner.
