From the CEO - Legislative Call to Action

Assembly Bill 120 would expand school impact fees on new homes to every county in the state, it would also expand the definition of what those funds could be used for from strictly capital improvements to "modernization and appurtenances". With current inflationary pressure driving the cost of housing beyond affordability, we don't need more fees and impacts.

We need you to send the message to lawmakers that our industry is doing it's part and can't shoulder added expense at the time of permit.
  1. Click here to express your opinions to Nevada lawmakers. You will need to select AB 120 from the drop-down menu to register your opinions about each bill.

  2. Contact your state senator, click here for the "Who's My Legislator/What's my District" website page.
The hearing in Senate Government Affairs is scheduled for next Wednesday, May 10 at 1:00 pm. Please make your voice heard...

Fall Prevention

National Fall Prevention Safety Stand-Down

Falls from elevation continue to be the leading cause of severe injury. A Safety Stand-Down is a voluntary event for employers to speak directly with employees about safety. A Stand-Down can be held by taking a moment to focus on Fall Hazards and reinforcing the importance of Fall Prevention. This is a great opportunity for employers to speak with employees about hazards, protective methods, and company safety policies. It is also a great opportunity for employees to discuss any issues they might be seeing on job-sites.
Anyone can conduct a Safety Stand-Down by taking the time to hold a 5-minute safety talk employees or by conducting other activities such as equipment inspection, site hazard assessments, and the review of fall rescue plans. Employers are encouraged to plan a Stand-Down that works best for their workplace anytime during the week of May 8- May 12.
Employers will be able to provide feedback about their Stand-Down and download a certificate of participation following the stand down by visiting the Events Page on OSHA.gov.
PGM Safety Services recognizes the importance of this event and encourages employers that have employee exposure to fall hazards to participate. If you would like help in your efforts to participate in the National Fall Prevention Safety Stand-Down or need assistance with your Fall Protection, Prevention & Rescue Plan, please contact PGM Safety Services, an affiliate company of Pro Group Management at (800) 859-3177, or visit us at www.pgmnv.com and we will be happy to assist.
