March for Our Lives - Washington DC
Saturday, March 24th

Prayers for safe travels and protections from the stormy weather for Don Main, John Ahlen and Yajaira Trejon Hernandez as they fly to Washington DC to participate in the national March For Our Lives protest to advocate for gun control.   We are blessed to have such strong advocates representing Morningside during this historic event.

Our deepest appreciation to Don and John for sponsoring Yajaira's participation.  May it be a profound experience for each of them and for our country as it struggles with the issue of gun safety and keeping our children safe from gun violence.
!!! TARP DRIVE ALERT !!!
Community Homeless Connect Donations

The 2018 Marion County Community Homeless Connect day is quickly approaching and Morningside UMC is joining other Salem area congregations throughout Salem to help support this important event.

Final two days to drop off TARPS for our 2018 Marion County Community Homeless Connect TARP Drive. The Connect Day is Tuesday, March 27th. Pastor Wendy will be taking our donations with her on Monday afternoon, so Sunday and Monday morning are the last days to drop off your generous donations.

As a reminder... we are looking for an 8' x 10' style which is available at most home improvement and hardware stores.

* Local shopping options include: Harbor Freight, Lowes, Ace Hardware or Home Depot.

NOTE: The March 27th event is still looking for a few more volunteers for both the set-up on, Monday the 26th, and the event on, Tuesday the 27th.  CLICK HERE to visit their Sign-Up website for more information and to sign up!

Morningside Media Moments
Sunday, March 25th

We're launching a new feature for our newsletters and Facebook posts called "Morningside Media Moments." We'll be highlighting video moments from worship,
interviews with the congregation and clips from events and activities in which Morningside is involved.

We're starting this Sunday (immediate following worship) by videoing brief interviews with the congregation. Everyone is welcome-especially our Morningside kids!
Come to Herrmann Hall for your chance to become famous (at least to us you'll be
famous).

It will take less than 5 minutes and here are today's questions:
¨   What are your favorite Easter traditions?
¨   What do you enjoy most about coming to Morningside UMC?

We are anxious to share Morningside's fun activities and joy with all. Come join us and share your Morningside Moments!
