Quitting tobacco is no easy task. Whether its cigarettes, cigars, chew or a pipe, our coach will help you develop a personalized quit plan. Even if you're on the fence about quitting, come learn the latest information about what can help you succeed. This could be the last time you quit!

SIOP Model Training by Lorenzo Moreno
The Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) Model is a research-based and validated instructional model that has proven effective in addressing the academic needs of English learners.  Lorenzo Moreno, EL Specialist at TEC and CFHOC, will be teaming with Julie Brockway, EL Specialist at Cherrelyn, and Kathy Gonzalez-West, EL Specialist at Bishop, to provide a 6-week SIOP training for Englewood faculty and staff. This training will provide strategies, techniques, and resources that can be put to use immediately in instructional planning and classroom practice. Participants can choose to receive a stipend or continuing education hours for CDE recertification.

Classes will be on Tuesday afternoons from February 7 through March 14 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the Maddox training room (700 W. Mansfield Ave.)
