Dear Friends,

Flooded conditions are still with us in the bottomland, and our 10 acre vineyard there is still standing in water.  Fortunately, that is a small percent of our producing vines, so we aren't going to the poor-house just yet.  Getting the levee back in shape and removing all the fallen trees won't happen soon however.  The river is scheduled to remain at near flood stage until August.

For some reason, I ended up with concerts nearly every weekend this month. First we have the concert for the local scholarship, then our annual Mother's Day event, then ZinFest.  This will be a May to remember.

Bucks-for-Books Benefit Fund Raiser
Sat. May 6, 2017 Noon to 5 PM

This event includes music by three bands, food and a raffle with fun prizes. All funds from the cover charge and raffle donations go toward the Lodi Grape Festival's Bucks -for-Books scholarship program.

Levi Huffman
Heritage Oak Annual Mother's Day Concert
Sunday, May 14, 2017 1 to 4 PM

This is our most popular event of the year, and this go around we have brought in local celebrity musician Levi Huffman to perform.  As a special bonus, Seven Sisters Gourmet Food Truck will be on site starting at 11 AM serving up sandwiches, salads and other reasonably priced entrees for all the moms and their families. 

There is no cover charge for this event. The tasting room opens at 11:00 AM.

Local birding expert, David Yee, leads our series of monthly birding tours based out of Heritage Oak. Tours last from 3 to 4 hours depending on the season and how many of our fine feathered friends are around.   

All events start and end at the parking lot at Heritage Oak, and will include walks through portions of vineyards, along the Mokelumne River bank and across riparian woodland. The instructional walks are geared toward birding enthusiasts of all levels and interested children are welcomed. Dress appropriately for the weather.

ZinFest Tickets Available

The  2017 ZinFest Wine Festival is Saturday, May 20 from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 PM at Lodi Lake Park in Lodi. Tickets can be purchased online at ZinFest.com  for $55 advanced sale or $65 at the door.

Announcing the June Wine Club Release

Club members may stop by any time starting May 13 to receive their June shipment.  The June party is scheduled for Saturday June 10 from 1 to 4 PM.  Those who receive their wine by FedEx or other carrier, the shipment is scheduled to go out on June 19.

Art Fair Vendors Needed

Our annual Art Fair will be held on  Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 11 AM to 4 PM . We are still looking for a few more artists and craftsmen to participate.  There is no charge to participate in this fair.  If you are interested, or know someone who might be, follow the link below.
