 IMPORTANT INFORMATION
2018-19 Registration for RETURNING Families
March 29th, (last day of school before Spring Break) is rapidly approaching.
This is the last day for families to notify the school, in writing, if your child WILL NOT be returning to St. Rose School in the fall.  NON-REFUNDABLE Registration fees for the 2018-19 school year will be automatically charged to SMART tuition accounts in April. There is NO tuition payment due in April.  Returning families are required to pay only the re-registration fee.

Tuition Contracts and related documents will be sent home next Wednesday, March 28th to all returning families.  Please look for it in you child's Wednesday envelope. (please be sure and return your Wed. envelope by FRIDAY each week!)

In order to reserve your child's space for next school year, the Tuition Contract and forms must be returned to school office by APRIL 13TH.
Reminder: The school day begins AT 8:10AM
Students who arrive after the 8:10 bell are marked tardy.
Students who don't arrive on time can be disruptive to morning announcements, prayer, and class work. Please plan accordingly to arrive to school before 8:10am.
Thank you.
A Note from Mrs. Ryan
Dear Parents,

Today we celebrate another milestone of our recovery. Our preschool is back with us at 4300 Old Redwood Highway. Last Friday, we said a grateful farewell to the people at St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Mendocino Avenue, whose generosity and kindness in providing temporary space for our preschoolers has been unparalleled. The new temporary facility for the preschool is on our playground where the covered eating area used to be. As soon as we get some dry weather, all of our students will be able to view the new preschool construction on a daily basis. The rebuild of the Kindergarten and second Grade classrooms should begin about the same time. Since the preschool is a licensed facility, parents must personally sign their children in each morning. In order to facilitate this, the preschool is utilizing the lobby of our gym from 7:30 - 9:00 AM each morning. Please expect additional traffic in the parking lot each morning. It is good to have all of our students back together again.

Holy Week begins this weekend on Palm Sunday. Holy Thursday is a 12:30 PM dismissal day. Students will have the opportunity to participate in several different Catholic rituals that day, including Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Veneration of the Cross. Our drama director, Gloria Verse, is also working with some of our older students who will present a reenactment of the Last Supper and the Passion of Christ. The Easter Triduum is the high point of the Church year. I do hope your family will attend some of the various liturgies at your parishes. Easter Sunday Mass is always particularly joyous as we celebrate the new life offered to us through the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sincerely,
Kathy Ryan

FLU & ALLERGY SEASON
Hopefully, FLU season is coming to a close, BUT  ALLERGY season is now upon us!
Suffering from allergies while in class is distracting and difficult. If your child suffers from seasonal allergies or hay fever, over the counter medications should be given by the parent prior to sending your child to school to achieve the optimal relief.
Per school policy, office staff will not dispense allergy medication during the school day, when 24 hour medications are readily available for parents to give to their children.

As always, children with severe coughs, colds and / or fevers should not come to school.
Please refer to the Health section of the school handbook (pg. 7)
