Celebrate Cinco de Mayo
 
New Brunswick Free Public Library , along with several community organizations, will celebrate  Cinco de Mayo on Saturday, May 6,  with storytelling by re-enactor Domingo Camarillo; arts and crafts; and a parade to Joyce Kilmer Park, featuring low rider cars, music, and dance performances.
New Brunswick Residential Parking Goes Digital
 
The  New Brunswick Parking Authorit will replace physical permits with a paperless program and allow residents to 
apply for their permit online, by phone, or in person.  Permits will no longer need to be displayed in a vehicle. Register today!

Alpha Art Gallery debuts The Introspective Concepts of Reality, an exhibition featuring local and international painters who work in oil color and mixed media.The opening reception is May 5.

Rutgers Brain Health Institute offers two free programs on May 5, including a presentation from Joshua A. Gordon, director of the National Institute of Mental Health, and the Computational Cognitive Neuro-Psychiatry Inaugural Mini-Symposium.

Join curator-led tours and live music from the New Brunswick Jazz Project during Art After Hours: First Tuesdays at the Zimmerli Art Museum on June 6.

Rutgers Summer Kids Create Camp 
Rutgers Summer Kids Create Camp is geared to children 5-12 who want to explore music, dance, theater, and visual arts. Two sessions are available: July 31 to August 4 and August 7-11, each with unique offerings.

George Street Playhouse Summer Theatre Academy moves to Lord Stirling Community School for 2017, and includes programs in musical theater and play production for ages 5-18.

Register for the Zimmerli's Summer Art Camp , weekly classes June 26-July 28, for artists age 7-14. New sessions include Think Big: Mural Painting, Ocean Explorations, and Express Yourself: Art and Identity.

Rutgers Continuing Studies offers a variety of youth educational summer opportunities for diverse ages and interests, including iSTEM academy, reading programs, and Summer Scholars Program.

The New Brunswick City Hall has opened an exhibit in celebration of its 90th anniversary, showcasing the city in the 1920s.
