Mentor Spotlight
Amber Walter

This past fall, Amber reached out to STEM. She was a new parent, and was eager to use her passions and experience to provide a new opportunity for the students. "I welcome any opportunity to share my passion for theater with children," says Amber. "I also love to be present in my children's school. I like them to see me volunteering and working with others."

During this past school year, Amber has helped produce several plays with Ms Rooney's drama class. This past weekend, students performed in two shows at ThunderRidge High School: "Beneath the Lake" and "Law and Order." "STEM kids are fabulous for theater because they are amazing self motivators. They are creative problem solvers. These are good kids who welcome a challenge and are good at working as a team to create something new," says Amber.

Amber is a professional actress, producer and director. She has two sons that attend STEM, Sam (4th) and Davis (6th), and is married to Michael, a traveling IT Engineer.

This summer, Amber will be leading a drama camp. To learn more, click  HERE.
