UPDATE: Proposed Pride Festival Date Change
Earlier this year, the historic organizers of Pride Festival announced they were changing the
date of the festival and rally from June 24th to June 10th. This change was quite a surprise to Capitol Hill businesses, many of whom are already planning for that weekend and have purchased or rented supplies in preparation for Pr
ide weekend customers.
Pride Festival is a fun, festive event that brings 50,000 people to Capitol Hill during Pride weekend, and this weekend is usually the busiest day for many Broadway area businesses.
The Capitol Hill Chamber and Broadway BIA recognizes that this day is critical to the economic well-being of the area and are strongly advocating to keep Pride Festival on June 24th.
The City's Special Event Committee (SEC) is currently reviewing the application to change the historic date of the Capitol Hill Pride festival and is expected to make a decision this week.
We will communicate with you as soon as we hear about a decision. Feel free to email us at
[email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.

helpful links to resources for individuals witnessing or experiencing homelessness. You'll also find helpful information on how to report illegal dumping, discarded needles, and graffiti.
In addition to the resources listed above, the Chamber receives regular progress updates from the city regarding the Homelessness Response Activation. Please email
