'60 Minutes' Taps CSU Dominguez Hills Professors' Expertise on Smartphone Behavior, Anxiety
Anderson Cooper, television personality and correspondent for "60 Minutes," the nation's longest-running television news magazine, visited California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) to interview communications professor Nancy Cheever and psychology professor Larry Rosen for a story about the effects of habit-forming smartphone applications on people's behaviors and lives.  Read More...

Class Notes
Jacob DeVinney, DDS (BS '07)
owner and lead dentist at Amador Dental & Orthodontic, is a co-author of the upcoming book "A Reason to Smile - Fixing Broken Confidence with Cosmetic Dentistry," to be released in spring 2017. Dr. DeVinney has contributed to chapters on his area of specialization, bridges and dentures.    

Dionne Faulk (BA '97)
has been elected as the Seat 1 representative on the Inglewood Unified District School Board.      

Sherrie Montgomery (BA '87)
was awarded the March/April 2017 Oliver Halsell Care Award, a program recognizing local individuals whose kindness and dedication to serving others is inspirational. Montgomery is the director of market development at Vitas Healthcare, where she oversees nine representatives, four community liaisons, and the entire Orange County team.     

Toni Morgan (MA '98)

has been elected the at-large representative on the Oswego Community Unit School District 308 School Board in Illinois.     


Kevin Pillar

was included on the LA Times' Major League Baseball All-Star team using only players who were locally produced. Pillar is a former Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball player and current Toronto Blue Jay center fielder.   
    
 

Erica Tinsley (BA '15) 

is a computing specialist at the Aerospace Corporation, an El Segundo-based leader in the defense and aeronautics field, which requires her to stay abreast of developments in information technology management. Her position acts as a liaison between the legal and IT teams at her company.
