Startup Grind is hosting a fireside chat with  Maxeme Tuchman, CEO and co-founder of Caribu Inc..

The education technology company lets parents, family, and mentors read and draw with children while at separate locations. 

Maxeme was most recently appointed by President Obama to serve as a White House Fellow at the U.S. Department of the Treasury where she served as a senior policy advisor and worked on issues of financial inclusion.

Venture Company Highlights
Start-up Presence at Venture Capital Competition
FAU Tech Runway will be well represented at the 10th Annual Florida Venture Forum Early Stage Capital Conference. Out of the twenty-two companies that have been chosen to compete, three are FAU Tech Runway venture companies.

The start-ups are Honorlock, Venture Class 2, Neuro Pharmalogics, Venture Class 4, and Rotation Manager, Venture Class 4. Companies will compete for the chance to win $150,000 in cash prize awards. Read more in the South Florida Business Journal article, here.

Tone-Y-Bands Featured on Good Day Sacramento
Tone-y-Bands CEO and founder, Janice Haley recently appeared live on CBS Good Day Sacramento.

The Venture Class 2 company developed adjustable wrist weights that can be worn during everyday activities or while exercising. Zumba, the world's largest fitness brand, has integrated the weights into their classes. To learn more about Tone-y-Bands, click here.

Meredith Sanchez
Event Administrator
Meredith Sanchez has joined FAU Tech Runway as its new Event Administrator. Meredith is currently a senior at FAU and pursuing her B.S. degree with a concentration in marketing. Sanchez brings four years of experience in event planning and administration to the team.
