As we prepare to celebrate our seniors' successful completion of high school, we remind parents of the following:
  • If you have not done so, please send in a 4x6 or 5x7 photo of your child when he/she was younger than age 5.  Please send in as soon as possible. Please put in an envelope with your child's name on the front.
  • Please write a personal congratulations letter to your graduate and encourage siblings, grandparents, Godparents, teachers, and others to write as well.  In the past, letters reminisced about the graduate's growth of life or hopes for the future.  It can be a note card, a song, a poem, a card, or a 10 page letter - your choice.  Place each card or letter in an envelope and label it with your child's name, and be sure each letter is signed by the author.  We would like each child to have a letter from at least one parent and 2 additional people.
  • We are creating a slide presentation to view during the Senior Breakfast.  We would like group photos of your child with YC friends from grade school through the present.  Please click on the link below that will take you to a Shutterfly Share page (you will need to create an account if you don't have one already) to upload your photos.  Please upload a maximum of 10 photos.  If you need assistance navigating the website, feel free to email Roxanne at [email protected].  If you prefer to send pictures into YC, please be sure to label the pictures with your child's name (and possibly the names of the students in the picture) so we can return them to you.

Jared Zimmerman was the Guest Principal for a Day last week.   His parents won the opportunity for him at the Night at the Races hosted by the YC Athletic Association last month. Jared welcomed students to school, read the morning announcements, delivered the absentee lists to the classrooms, approved the design of the Graduation tickets, took suggestions from the staff, had lunch with the faculty, and led physical training class along with his National Guard drill instructor. Great job Jared!
