Losses & Struggles
We would like to offer our condolences to the family and friends of Sheila Grant who lost her long struggle with cancer. She was thought of in high regard among those of us who had meet her and has left a lasting impression on the greyhound world.

The dog fancy also has recently lost another one of our own in Joel Rosenblatt, who had handled Greyhounds throughout his career. Our sympathy is with his family and friends including our member, Lorrie Richer.

The Greyhound Club would also like to extend sympathy to Stacy Pober on the loss of her bitch and the GCA 2016 Eastern Specialty Winner's Bitch, Golightly Peggy Sue. Peggy Sue had survived the fire that took Stacy's husband, Rick, last year and Stacy bred her and sadly lost her after she delivered 10 puppies. The pups are healthy and being foster by a collie and bottle fed by Stacy.
 
GCA Newsletter
Darlene Klein has agreed to act as editor for the newsletter. We are very grateful for this. She is right on track with the next one which will be mailed in the beginning of June. So, the deadline for any contributions is May 20th. Please contact Darlene at  [email protected] with questions or to let her know what you are sending and when so she can allocate space. Please support our newsletter. We were told by many that they did not want it to stop, so let's pull together to make this work.

Motion  B17-0 8 .    Made by   Joan  Malak ." I move that ,  until further notice ,   any  discretionary expenses proposed by specialty chairs must be discussed with Bobby  Paust  prior to commitment and expenditure."  Motion passed unanimously  
 
Motion  B17-0 9 .    Ma d e by  Tom Butler .   "I move that the 2018 national specialty  ( Western )  be dedicated in memory of  Sheila Grant."   Motion passed unanimously
