★ Kids Count - Day 2 ★

Join us in raising $40k by May 17 to inspire kids through music.
"Music matters to me because it makes me feel myself. It makes me feel like I can do anything that I put my mind to."

-Zion, 3rd grade, Philadelphia
We believe music helps kids know the world and know themselves.

When Zion and other kids come to one of our interactive Bridge Sessions, they experience all kinds of music: like Philadelphia Orchestra violinist Julia Li playing Vivaldi and storyteller Charlotte Blake Alston playing the African kora -- in the same session! Kids learn music crosses boundaries. It has power.

Like Zion, they begin to learn their own power. To feel. To express ideas. To do whatever they put their minds to.

Each year 5,000 Philly kids experience great music for free at our Bridge Sessions. We believe their power counts.

Donate today to help more kids like Zion put their mind to great things -- and do them!

About LiveConnections
LiveConnections inspires learning and builds community through collaborative music-making. In 2008, a team of artists, educators and entrepreneurs founded LiveConnections to address declining music education in Philly schools and tap into the people-connecting power of music. Bridge Sessions, our signature interactive educational programs, blend live performances with hands-on activities, introducing urban students and people with disabilities to diverse musical cultures. Our in-school and after-school residencies provide students with sustained, in-depth music-making experiences. In addition, our critically acclaimed LiveConnections Presents concert series features collaborative concerts that cross musical boundaries. We are a nonprofit organization in residence at World Cafe Live. [learn more]
