Dear Parents,
This Sunday, April 30th at 2:00 pm our Eighth Grade students will receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation. The children will receive a special grace by which their faith is deepened and strengthened, so that they will be strong to face the challenges of young adulthood.
Through this sacrament, the children will be fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church. We ask that you say a prayer for our Eighth Graders that they always keep the gifts of the Holy Spirit in their hearts as they become moral decision makers and become closer to God.
Quote from Pope Francis:
"The Holy Spirit transforms and renews us, creates harmony and unity, and gives us courage and joy for mission."
Faithfully yours,
Miss Giaquinto

Exciting News From The Bishop
On Divine Mercy
Sunday, Bishop Caggiano announced an exciting new movement -
The Face of Prayer - an online crusade that brings together social media, text alerts, and the power of prayer.
Are you willing to pray with the Bishop Caggiano every day? Text a selfie, your prayer intention, or the word
"pray" to 55778 and join in the journey as we learn more about the
power of prayer. Participants will receive a daily prayer intention from the bishop that ends with a call to prayer.
The goal of the campaign is to have thousands of people -
especially our young church - praying each day alongside the bishop as we grow together in holiness.
Be the face of prayer and join today.

What's Happening At SCSS?
Congratulations to our all of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students on their participation in the Modern Woodsman Oratorical Contest. The theme was what makes a Hero
and what a terrific job they did!
These lovely young ladies are the winners. First and second place will now move on to the next level.
Thank you Mrs. Kamienski for all your work in
preparing the children for this event.
We are very proud of everyone!
