Application for IASA Annual Conference Ignite Presentation

IASA commenced a new and exciting presentation at last year's annual conference titled "Ignite." The session was a great success and we are planning to build on last year's program with another session at this year's conference.

The Ignite session will include a series of presenters giving 5-minute presentations on a variety of topics using 20 slides. The slogan for Ignite presentations is "Enlighten us, but make it quick!" You can view examples of Ignite sessions at  http://www.ignitetalks.io .

To summarize how it works, you make 20 slides that auto advance every 15 seconds and you speak about the content on the slides. The slides are typically filled with images and very little or no text.  Following the presentations, the presenters will host a panel question/answer session from the audience. We are interested in picking 5 to 7 presenters to participate in our Ignite session which will be part of the IASA Annual Conference general session.

If you are interested in applying to be a presenter at the IASA Annual Conference Ignite session please click here to complete the following Google form.

In addition to preparing and making the Ignite presentation you will be required to submit a plan that outlines how interested participants can visit your school district to learn more about the topic you are highlighting.

Applications for the IASA Annual Conference need to be submitted by Wednesday, May 31, 2017.  If your concept is chosen to be a finalist as a spot on the Ignite platform, you will be required to prepare your Ignite presentation in its final form and submit a video of the presentation to the Ignite selection committee. This video will need to be submitted by Friday, June 30, 2017.
