President's Office Hour, Open Forum
The President's Office hour previously scheduled for Friday has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 17 from 1-2 p.m. The next
President's Open Forum will be May 15 from 2-3 p.m. in Building 200, Room 224. NOCCCD Chancellor Dr. Marshall's Office Hour is still on May 16 from 10 to 11 a.m.
Love Fullerton | Unite For Cities 2017
Fullerton College is a proud sponsor and participant in Love Fullerton and Unite for Cities, which is a movement to love Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Orange and Placentia composed of thousands of volunteers from churches, schools, city government, local businesses, organizations and other community groups. On April 29, the college welcomed thousands of volunteers after their day of service.

CalWORKS and CARE Seeking Donations for Annual Student Parents Luncheon
The CalWORKs and CARE programs are preparing for their annual Student Parents Recognition Luncheon, which will be Friday, May 19. The luncheon celebrates the successes and acknowledges the daily struggles these parents face in order to complete their education, achieve self-sufficiency and create a brighter future for their children.

First Style Night Set for May 11
The FC Fashion Department presents its first Style Night on May 11 at the Wilshire Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. The department will present a showcase of student work and includes music, photo opportunities, a live style competition judged by local fashion bloggers, a high school upcycle competition, industry speakers and an award ceremony.

ACT's Scheduled Automate Computer Security Updates
In order to ensure timely updates of Microsoft software with minimal disruption to the campus community, updates will now be made between the hours of 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. If any user is concerned, they can verify by looking in "Start" -> "All Programs" -> "Windows Update" and clicking on the "View Update History" to see the last update installed.

Puente Program Cohorts Attend Northern California College Tour
From April 26 to 29, Fullerton College's two Puente cohorts attended the annual Northern California College Tour. Fifty students and staff visited the campuses of UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, UC Davis, the State Capitol and the UC Davis School of Medicine.

'Just Mercy' Selected for One Book, One College
Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption has been selected for the 2017-18 One Book, One College campaign. Just Mercy draws attention to the injustices of the American legal system-primarily, the inequities of race and poverty, and the harsh sentencing of children and the mentally ill. One Book, One College is a campus-wide reading program that focuses on a common book to encourage reading, critical thinking and discussion. Read more...

Women's Track
The Hornets competed in the Southern California Regional Prelims on Saturday at Cerritos College. This round of prelims is the toughest as there are no more than 27 athletes in each events competing to advance to the SoCal Regional Championships the following week.

Men's Track
The men's 4x100m relay team qualified for the Southern California Regional Championships next Saturday by virtue of a personal best performance from Kenneth Griffin, Justin Walker, Taj Wilson and Marquis Rogers. If they can finish in the top four next week, they will qualify for the State Championships at American River College in Sacramento. Francisco Padilla also qualified to the Regional Championships in the Shot Put. Walker moves on as expected in the Long Jump and the 110m High Hurdles.

Softball
No. 5 Fullerton hosted No. 18 Allan Hancock for a Southern California Regional play-in game last Tuesday and were upset 4-1 ending their 2017 campaign. Making the playoffs for the third year in a row, Fullerton (19-22 overall) had another successful season.

Three freshman Hornets are selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference team. Pitcher Garrett Molnar, outfielder Thomas Delgadillo, and outfielder Chase Kerr all earned second team All-OEC honors this week.

Women's Beach Volleyball
The 2017 State Championships took at West Valley College over the weekend with the team of Charity Dennis and Leslie Andros representing the Hornets. Dennis and Andros may have lost in the first round of the tournament, but their hard work and competitive spirit this season make the Hornet Nation very proud.
Men's Volleyball
FC freshman Jordan Von Borstel accepted a scholarship to Judson University in Chicago. Van Borstel was a big part of the Fullerton College's inaugural season playing in 21 matches with 84 kills, 12 blocks, and 27 block assists.

A Jacobean revenge tragedy filled with violence, lust and ambition. This black comedy of 1606 revolves around a young man's plot and execution of revenge on a depraved duke for his lurid offenses.
