Youth Services Update
The Library offers many free and interesting ways to keep young minds curious and engaged.  New books for teens and children just arrived and will soon be added to the 29,949 items already here. The first week of May brings an after-school Read-Make-Take activity on Wednesday; Music Morning with Annette, and a screening and book display of "A Dog's Purpose" on Thursday; and our three weekly story time classes. And that's just the first week of the month! Refer to the library events calendar often so you don't miss a thing.

Library staff is making plans for the annual summer reading program. We hope you can join, and together we can learn and laugh all summer long. To help you plan, the June and July events calendar will be ready May 1, available as a hard copy and on our website. Also on the website, beginning May 15, the Summer Reading button on the Library's home page will let you register early for the eight-week "Build a Better World" reading program. Summer reading kicks-off on Saturday, June 3, with an unbelievable Eric Giliam magic show at 1 p.m. Until then, happy May!
Donor Spotlight
This month's donor spotlight is on Wildflower Bread Company in Sedona, which awarded Sedona Public Library proceeds from their "Dough on the Go" program. This effort directs 10 percent of all baguette sales in Sedona to the Library. So while you enjoy your freshly baked French bread from Wildflower, you also support your public library.

Partnerships like this help make life in Sedona fulfilling in more ways than one. Together, we make Sedona a wonderful place to celebrate good books and good bread, the staff of life. We are grateful to Wildflower Bread Company, and we encourage everyone to borrow a book and buy a baguette. Here's to good eating and good reading! Thanks, Wildflower!

Bring the Tree to Full Bloom!
It's spring, and with your help, Sedona Public Library can bring the Grandchildren's Tree to full bloom. Only 30 more leaves are needed to complete this beautiful display that honors children, literacy, and the love of reading. When you purchase a gold, silver, or bronze leaf, you join hundreds of other families who have invested in your public library and made the tree sparkle.

For pricing and more information about purchasing and engraving your Grandchildren's Tree leaves, contact Anne Marie Mackler at 928-282-7714, ext. 125, or visit the Donate page of our website.
