Stanwood Library - May 5th, 6:30PM

Meet Tim Jones, nationally known freelance humor writer and Camano Island resident. Tim’s weekly View from the Bleachers column is carried regularly in the Crab Cracker, several online humor websites, including the Seattle P.I, and the national humor newspaper, Funny Times. Tim writes about a wide range of topics including politics, current events, pop culture, relationships and the small news stories that slip through the cracks – always with a unique (some would say warped) perspective. In 2016 he published a hilarious humor book based on a collection of his humor essays on parenting called YOU’RE GROUNDED FOR LIFE – Misguided Parenting Strategies That Sounded Good at the Time.

Join Tim as he shares some of the secrets to being a successful humor writer, the challenges of humor writing, and some of the hilarious mistakes he’s made along the way. And if you ask him really nicely, he might even read a few of his favorite columns. Join us for a fun evening of humor and fun stories.
