by J. T. Rogers

Currently a hit Broadway show, Oslo is J. T. Rogers's debut publication with TCG Books. A darkly funny and sweeping new play, this political drama tells the surprising true story of the back-channel talks, unlikely friendships, and quiet heroics that led to the 1993 Oslo Accords between the Israelis and the Palestinians. As he did with such wit and intelligence in Blood and Gifts, Rogers presents a deeply personal story set against a complex political canvas. Ben Brantley of The New York Times calls it "the stuff of crackling theater...Oslo is a vivid, thoughtful, and astonishingly lucid account of a byzantine chapter in international politics."
by David Bowie and Enda Walsh

One of the last works completed by beloved pop icon David Bowie before his death in early 2016, the otherworldy musical Lazarus is a poignant homage to his legacy. Inspired by the 1963 novel The Man Who Fell to Earth with a book by award-winning playwright  Enda Walsh Lazarus weaves a thrilling rock opera from new compositions by Bowie as well as many of his classic songs.

Originally an Off-Broadway hit starring Michael C. Hall and directed by Ivo van Hove, the new musical Lazarus ended its subsequent London production in early 2017.
by Anne Washburn

From The New York Times:
"Mr. Burns is so smart it makes your head spin...Downright brilliant. This intoxicating and sobering vision of an American future, set during a day-after tomorrow apocalypse...has depths of feeling to match its breadth of imagination... With grand assurance and artistry, Anne Washburn makes us appreciate anew the profound value of storytelling in and of itself... Makes a case for theatre as the most glorious and durable storyteller of all."

This volume also contains 10 Out of 12, The Small and I Have Loved Strangers.
by Wallace Shawn

His fifth play published by TCG, Evening at the Talk House by Wallace Shawn is typical of his dark and eerie work -- amusing and unsettling at the same time.  At The Talk House, an old haunt, a group of friends and theatre artists reunite after ten years to reminisce and catch-up on each other's lives. At first, the conversation is fairly run-of-the-mill: current TV shows and where their careers have taken them. Eventually, the discussion's tone takes a turn when they mention supplementing their incomes through the government-led program to enlist unemployed artists for drone strikes and carrying out violent attacks on foreign land.
by Danai Gurira

Danai Gurira's Tony Award-nominated play Eclipsed now has a newly revised edition with updates from the playwright and a gorgeous new cover.

Amid the chaos of the Liberian Civil War, the captive wives of a rebel officer band together to form a fragile community-until the balance of their lives is upset by the arrival of a new girl. Drawing on reserves of wit and compassion, Eclipsed reveals distinct women who must discover their own means of survival in this chilling and humanizing story of transformation and renewal in a hostile world of horrors not of their own making.

These fabulous new titles come from our Partner Publishers  -- all of whom are distributed by TCG and can be found in our online bookstore.
