WWHF Awarded Susan G. Komen Funds

In April, The Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation was announced as a  Susan G. Komen Wisconsin
fund recipient. This is our 8th year administering funds from Komen to allow over 500 women per year to receive breast health services. WWHF staff, Nancy Henderson and Janet Johnson (Cherie Imhoff not pictured), accepted the award and will be hard at work financially assisting men and women in need of breast health services.

Visit our website for more information about  Komen Breast Fund   eligibility  and services.
GrapeVine Pilots New Topics

Our GrapeVine program is piloting new topics! Volunteer nurses attended trainings on brain health, breast cancer, and self-care and are now piloting the sessions in their communities to gain feedback.  We are thankful for the academic partners, who helped develop the new units, and our GrapeVine partners, who volunteer their time to educate Wisconsin women about disease prevention.

Alcohol Awareness Month

April is Alcohol Awareness Month- a great opportunity for WWHF to promote its My Baby and Me program, which helps women achieve alcohol-free pregnancies.

We opened up during this month's episode of The MotherPod to talk about My Baby and Me and also the stigmas surrounding women who need support to quit alcohol during pregnancy. Chelsea Tibbetts, WWHF's Perinatal Programs Coordinator and soon-to-be first time mom, was our featured guest.
