Business Partner Email Messages: Information from the Field

Inspire offers employers a number of powerful tools to connect with you and your students. One of those tools is targeted messaging. Targeted messaging allows employers to send career-related messages to distinct groups of students and/or educators by selecting a number of filters to narrow down the recipient list. That way, employers  reach only those individuals that they want to communicate with about subjects relevant to their company. Since organizations like Madison College and Trade Unions have profiles as well, they may also send messages to educators and students. Employers and organizations with profiles never see any student or educator data other than the aggregate number of individuals that their messages will reach.

The more detailed your students' portfolios are, including email address, career clusters, careers and companies they've saved, the more targeted the employers' messages can be.

As an educator, you may also receive emails from Career Cruising notifying you of a new business partner message that's viewable from your Career Cruising CAMS account. Business partner messages may be about about opportunities, events and other academic and/or career related messages that our business partners want to share.

An example of a notification email is below. Emails will come from [email protected]

Dear _______,

You have received a new message from Name of Business. To view the message, please log into your Career Advisor Management System account.

Sincerely,
Career Cruising Support Team

There's not much information in the notification email, so to see the business partner message, you need to log-in to your Career Cruising CAMS account.  If you get an email from this address, please take a look but don't feel like there's any action you need to take, unless you want to view the message. The messages from business partners are only meant to provide information that could be beneficial to you and your students.
Career Coach Message Board Highlight: Biological Tech

Student Question:

What kind of fieldwork do you do?

Career Coach Answer:

I conduct Polymerase Chain Reaction ( PCR) on the two cell types that exist in the ovarian follicle. I am looking for the presence of Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) (a protein) in the biggest or most dominant follicle within the ovary. I use human and monkey material. I am studying what this protein does in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome- a condition that is the leading cause of type II diabetes in young women.
