Congratulations to everyone who showed their school spirit on Friday! The Spirit Day winners were: K-Kim and Barber 1-Fouche and Price 2-Magee and McCloskey 3-Chao and Soriton 4-Hoffman and Yates 5-Bruning and Brunn LV-Hawkins and Pierce MES 1st and 2nd place classrooms won a sweet treat, and the 2 Longview winners earned a banner for their classroom!

Staff Appreciation Week May 1-5

We will again be celebrating our amazing staff.

Beginning Monday, May 1st and continuing all week please send flowers and thank-you's to staff members.

Topics include presentation of the slate of candidates for the Executive Board for the 2017-2018 school year, PTA updates, and school updates.

	5th Grade Mixer Friday, May 5th 6:30 - 8:30 Kingsview Middle School
A special event for 5th grade students and parents, hosted by KMS. Please come tour your new school, make some new friends, and meet some the amazing staff! Vietnamese Dance Group Presentation May 6th

May is Asian American heritage month. All are invited to join a special celebration on Saturday, May 6th at Wilson Wims ES ( 12520 Blue Sky Dr, Clarksburg, MD 20871). Our talented Vietnamese dance group will be performing with 7 other Asian dance groups. The show will start at 3 pm and the MES Vietnamese dance group will start at 4 pm. (start time approximate)

Entry to the event is free for all. Hope to see you there!

MES Field Day at the Plex is Coming 6/1!

Field Day Permission Slips were sent home this past week! Please fill out, sign, and return to school as soon as possible, but no later than May 8th. Be sure to fill the forms out completely including your child's lunch choice and transportation information and don't forget to sign. Parents please save the date as we will need many parent volunteers to make this event a success! Look for a sign up soon!
