Happy Holidays from the Town of North Smithfield!

The Holidays and New Year are a special time of celebration, reflection and looking forward. I thank all the residents of North Smithfield for your efforts to improve our town, and I wish you joyous holidays and a peaceful and healthy 2018.

North Smithfield Town Hall and Town Hall Annex will be closed on Monday, December 25th and Tuesday, December 26th.  Town Hall and Town Hall Annex will  also be closed on Friday, December 29th.  DPW and Parks & Recreation offices will close at 11:00 a.m. on December 29th. 
We will also be closed on Monday, January 1st.

Three probationary officers were sworn in as members of the North Smithfield Police Department. The new officers graduated from the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy on December 15, 2017. They were sworn in immediately following graduation by Town Administrator Gary Ezovski. The three new officers' filled positions left vacant by departing members. They started work the day after graduation. Congratulations and welcome to serving the people of North Smithfield.

The North Smithfield Police Department would like to thank everyone who donated to our Toys for Tots collection. Patrol Officer Chrystal Lin-Cabral is pictured below with some of the donations.



The North Smithfield Police Department is currently seeking Qualified Candidates for the Position of Police Officer.

Applications will be accepted from December 14th through January 31, 2018.

Please be sure to complete the POLICE APPLICATION and NOT the Town Application.

The Town of North Smithfield Zoning Board of Review
Is seeking a member to sit as "2 nd Alternate".
This is a volunteer position with no compensation.
Candidates for this position must live in the Town and be able to access
and interpret the Zoning Ordinance.
 
Board meetings are held on the 2 nd and 4 th Tuesdays of the month
provided there are cases to hear.
