I'll be on KQED radio this Wednesday at 9 am for sanctuary policies discussion
Join me for KQED Forum live broadcast from Contra Costa College
This Wednesday morning, April 26, KQED Forum will broadcast live from Contra Costa College from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

As a supporter of sanctuary policies, I will be participating in a discussion from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. about what the recent Federal Court ruling blocking Trump's order means for local communities.

Today, a Federal Court temporarily blocked the nationwide implementation of an executive order that would have cut off federal funding to cities and counties that limit their cooperation with immigration enforcement officials. You can read more here

From 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the live broadcast will have a discussion about the college's Veteran Resource Center which helps veterans return to school and civilian life.

From 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., the show will preview the RYSE Youth Center's original production of "Richmond Renaissance," a play set in a 1940s black-owned juke joint in North Richmond. Tickets are available to see "Richmond Renaissance" at El Cerrito High School on May 6 or May 7.

Come to Contra Costa College and watch the live broadcast ( click here to register) or listen on KQED 88.5 FM, or you can see our conversation streamed live at   KQED.org

I've been heartened to see the outpouring of community action in support of hard-working immigrant families and in opposition to policies that divide us.
Sincerely,
John
