Did You Know?

Venison is one of the healthiest meat options on the planet. At around 104 calories per 3.5 oz. serving, it has less calories than lamb, beef, turkey and chicken. Check out these cool nutritional facts about venison on this National Shooting Sports Foundation infographic.

NDA Member Survey

Last week, we asked whether or not states should allow the commercial processing and sale of venison from white-tailed deer and mule deer, and if you ever purchased commercially-produced venison at a store or restaurant. We learned that 55% of respondents feel that states should not allow the commercial processing and sale of venison and 30% said that states should allow it; about 15% said that they were unsure.

We also learned that only 18% have purchased commercially-produced venison of any type from a store or restaurant (82% said they haven't). You can read a more detailed assessment of the results as well as comments from some of the survey participants below.

This Week's Survey

This week we're going to switch gears and talk some turkey! Don't worry, there's a tie to deer hunting with the survey questions as we want to know how many of you are serious turkey hunters, and who mostly uses that time in the woods to prepare for the coming deer seasons. We are looking forward to your responses.
