WINTER BREAK
Last Newsletter Until January

This is our last weekly bond newsletter of 2017. The District will be closed for winter break, returning January 8. The next update will be January 12. Happy Holidays & see you in the new year!

WEEKLY PROGRESS

On  Tuesday, December 19,  the Governing Board voted to approve the next stage of construction for Hopi, clearing the way for vertical construction to begin. Over the winter break, crews will finish up ground work and start pouring concrete footings for the new buildings. As part of the final ground-level preparations, there will be some work underway next week on Lafayette that could impact traffic. Fortunately, since the school will be closed, those traffic issues will not be compounded by daily pickup and drop off.

Also over winter break, track surfacing will continue around the new fields at Saguaro and Chaparral. Please remember the tracks and fields are closed during this time for everyone's safety and also to ensure the work is done properly and on time. Thank you for your patience as we finish up this final touch.
RUMOR OF THE WEEK (or: Myth Busting)

A report issued this week, following an external review of SUSD procurement processes, addresses several persistent rumors. You can view the presentation of that report to the Governing Board, by attorney Susan Segal, on the Governing Board documents page of susd.org.
